Permanent Jewelry is a clasp less custom-fitted Bracelet, Anklet or Necklace that is welded together with a small jump ring. Its purpose is for a stylish continuous wear until you decide to remove it. You can fully customize your piece, including choosing your metal, size and charms if desired.

Permanent Jewelry is durable, however it in not indestructible. If you or life decides you need to remove it you can simply cut AT THE JUMP RING with scissors or nail clippers. We always suggest you KEEP YOUR CHAIN because we can always reweld it later on if you wish.

Absolutely the chains will not set off anything going through security.

At Slippery When Waxed we warranty our welds. If your chain breaks at the jump ring where we welded simply bring in your chain and we will repair it for you at no cost.

Please note we cannot replace or repair chains that are lost or too damaged to fix due to accidents.

Of course! If you have an old permanent jewelry chain that snapped and you held on to it, book for a repair appointment! A quick and simple solution to enjoying your permanent jewelry again.

All minors (under 16) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Kid chains are available; we use different metals since kids are still growing and very active, we want to be able to give you a fair price with the understanding your child may grow out of it or may change their mind like kids do.

Our main supply of chains is Sterling Silver and 14k Gold Filled.

All others are kid chains, and they are Stainless Steel and 14k-18k Gold Plated, and Rose Gold.

(These chains are for children under 16 only, children can get Sterling Silver and Gold Filled if permitted by guardian. Different rates will apply)

While our chains are not known to tarnish, like all jewelry your chain may need some TLC. Over time natural air exposure, harsh chemicals, and buildup of lotions and skin cells may dull the shine. However, do not worry a good cleaner and a jewelry cleaning cloth can make it shine. Soap and water and a spoolie or soft brush can be used for a regular cleaning, pat dry after cleaning.

Please note extreme high temperatures such as exposure to hot springs may temporarily significantly change the color of your bracelet however, should regain original color with time.

Try to avoid unbalanced chemicals such as sulfates and chlorine.
(We are currently looking for a skin safe jewelry cleaner to give a nice new shine to older chains.)

Not at all! The welder will touch the jump ring, give a quick spark and fuse the jump ring together and you won’t feel a thing. We order skin barriers if you are still nervous, and we order welding glasses if you wish to watch the spark. We do not recommend looking at the spark of the weld with bare eyes because it is a very bright little light.

Hospitals are familiar with our kind of jewelry and can usually just tape over them. However, if your doctor requires you to remove it simply cut at the jump ring and book a repair.
